The NAD is very excited to partner with three other organizations during this conference — Deaf In Government (DIG) will handle and take charge of Government Employment Training (GET); the National Deaf Education Conference (NDEC) will be hosting their third conference and will handle and take charge of the Education track; and the Registry of Interpreters (RID) Region I will handle and take charge of the Interpreting track. The rest of the tracks are the responsibility of the NAD.
We empower Deaf and Hard of Hearing Federal Employees. We resolve & overcome communication barriers, accessibility issues and promote a fully inclusive work environment through networking and fostering professional growth.
This track focuses on teaching practices and will become a forum to discuss new ideas that are happening in the classroom! This summer we invite you – educators of deaf and hard of hearing children, teacher assistants, educational interpreters, etc. – to showcase your work and share new ideas, collaborate with your colleagues to generate new approaches, and learn incredible things!
RID Region I is made up of RID affiliate chapters from Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and West Virginia.
